Conference Architecture, Design, Color, Trends
The German Innovation Center for Embroidery is an active service provider for the Embroiders in the Vogtland area. We support branch- and technologically compatible projects. Since 01.10.2010 we are a networking management agency of VOBAtex –Vogtlands Business-group for innovative textile constructs. The main goal of the Network is to the strengthen the competitiveness of the innovation output from the participating companies. For the Architecture and constructs/geo-textiles there should be noticeable synergy affects.
International Textile Conference
For the first time, this year‘s conference program is divided into three parallel sections. The two-day “Chemistry” section will foreground chemical aspects of fibre composite materials, textile membranes and protective textiles. Recent non-woven fabric developments, textile reinforcement structures, the production of components and the recycling of fibre-reinforced composites as well as the modeling and simulation processes required for all processing steps will be the subject of the two-day “Composite” section.
As is traditional at the Dresden conference venue, the second day of the event will be devoted to recent product developments for personals and technical protection applications and examples of textile architecture usages by means of textile membranes.
The first conference day will witness the premiere of the third parallel section, the IGF-ZIM transfer event “From Idea to Practice”, organized by the Forschungskuratorium Textil e.V. Participants will be introduced to a selection of successful examples of products and methods developed in joint effort by researchers and industry representatives and implemented by the industry.
With this year‘s partner country Japan, we continue our tradition of offering you a platform for new research co-operations and networks beyond Germany by involving annually alternating partner countries.
Topics:
- Chemistry for Composites, Membranes, and Protective Textiles
- Composites
- Membranes & Textile Construction
- Protective Textiles

Textile Roofs 2013
The Eighteenth International Workshop on the Design and Practical Realisation of Architectural Membrane Structures
The main objectives of this workshop are to provide fundamental information, as well as presenting the state-of-the-art in textile roof engineering. Above all, the workshop aims to provide practical answers to real-world questions.
The workshop offers an interdisciplinary forum in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, geodesy and technologies related to membrane structures.
Textile Roofs 2013 is hosted by the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science of the Berlin Institute of Technology. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Neitzel - the head of the chair of Geodesy and Adjustment Theory - welcomes the participants of this event.
7th Aachen-Dresden International Textile Conference “Adding Function and Value”
The “Aachen-Dresden” is an international textile conference specially for the experts in the field of textile technology, medical technology, membrane technology, and fibre composites.
Plenary lectures and special symposia will focus on textiles for health care, electronic functionalities in textiles, sustainability and productivity, new textile machinery concepts, comfort and luxury.
Call for papers - extended 15th February 2013
