The SINGAPORE STRUCTURAL STEEL SOCIETY continues its official support for the Conference.
Professor Chiew Sing-Ping continues as the Conference Chairman.
IFAI Expo 2006
The Fabric Architecture & Lightweight Structures Symposium is co-organized with the Lightweight Structures Association (LSA) educating architects, designers, engineers and manufacturers about new and improved fabric technologies affecting architecture and buildings. Experienced fabric structure designers and engineers will demonstrate dozens of award-winning designs and world-renowned fabric structure case studies that advance the knowledge of architects and their clients. The symposium’s AIA accredited program has been carefully crafted to demystify fabric technologies and broaden the awareness of this cost-effective architectural solution.

IASS 2008 Symposium
THEMES:
Architecture, Theory & History, Conceptual Design, New Design Processes, New Materials, New Technologies, Engineering, Sustainability, Newly Built Structures
The 3rd Latin American Symposium on Tensile Structures will be included into the IASS 2008 Symposium: both events will be celebrated simultaneously.
FABRIC FORMWORK CONFERENCE
This will be the first gathering of architects, engineers, builders, students, and manufacturers exploring recent developments in flexible fabric formworks for concrete structures in architecture and engineering. These two days of lectures and presentations by inventors, practitioners and researchers will focus on the new architectural forms made possible by this emerging technology. The conference will include workshop demonstrations of full-scale and model construction techniques.
Techtextil 2009
From research and development, via the multitude of materials, production, finishing and recycling, to multipliers, such as associations and trade publishers, Techtextil presents the complete spectrum and expertise of the sector, as well as potential areas of application for technical textiles and nonwovens.
Textile Roofs 2009
In addition to a comprehensive programme of lectures presented in English by key figures from the membrane structure industry and academia, opportunity for the study and hands-on development of practical case-studies in an informal tutorial environment is provided.
During the afternoons the hands-on workshops run with opportunities for both computational and physical modelling. In parallel to this practical activity, specialised lectures are presented on state-of-the-art topics for the more advanced participants. These have included algorithmic approaches, computational algorithm theory and textile technology as well as corporate presentations from prominent lightweight structure firms.
