Inspiring the next generation – IASS Annual Symposium and Spatial Structures Conference 2020 - DESIGN COMPETITION
IASS Annual Symposium and Spatial Structures Conference 2020: The conference will be organised at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, on 24-28 August 2020. https://www.surrey.ac.uk/iass2020

The University of Surrey’s Spatial Structures Research Centre has launched a competition to design a spatial structure memorial that will mark the occasion of the seventh occurrence of the International Conference in Spatial Structures in August 2020. The winning design will be installed at a location adjacent to the new residences on Surrey’s Manor Park campus. (Deadline 28.02.2020)

TensiNet represented at Aachen-Dresden-Denkendorf International Textile Conference
Prof. Marijke Mollaert gave a keynote lecture on Recent designs of textile membrane structures for architectural applications at the Aachen-Dresden-Denkendorf International Textile Conference in Dresden, 28-29 November 2019.
Architect Katja Bernert from Mehler Texnologies gave a lecture on The potential of fabric façades at the same conference. Showing that already today fabric façades are much more than just a textile wrap for a building. Fabric meshes are evolving rapidly: at the end of this development they will be the matrix for all sorts of applications.

POSTPONED _ IASS Annual Symposium and Spatial Structures Conference 2020 - Inspiring the next generation
The conference, originally scheduled for 2020, has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Inspiring the next generation incorporates:
the IASS Annual Symposium (IASS SYMPOSIUM 2020/21) and the 7th International Conference on Spatial Structures (SPATIAL STRUCTURES 2020/21) will be organised at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, on 23-27 August 2021.

International Conference on Advanced Building Skins
The aim of the Conference on Advanced Building Skins is to achieve a multi-disciplinary, integrated planning approach with architects, engineers, scientists, manufacturers and the building industry to reduce energy consumption of buildings.

Textile Roofs 2020
POSTPONED - 8 till 10 October 2020
This 25th Anniversary Edition of Textile Roofs again aims to facilitate an intense dialogue on emerging topics in the field of textile architecture and gather an international expert community, who is able to drive the progress: politicians, businessmen, scientists and industrial representatives.
25 years of Textile Roofs seems to be more than a reason to celebrate together the worldwidely longest lasting series of events, that was initiated by our friend and visionary Prof. Lothar Gründig in 1995.
We will make this edition a very special one, with a lot of funny stories, memories, with meeting the outstanding minds of the TR history, with amazing new developements and a lot of special aganda items.

TensiNet WG Good Practice - Code of Conduct
TENSINET wants to ensure, that members committing to the code of conduct offer exclusively products and services on the market which fulfill the quality ordered by the client and which meet the applicable norms, standards and laws. In addition, they agree to take into account the state of the art (technology) and provide the highest possible quality.
Every member should be aware of his individual responsibility for the quality of the own work. The delivery of quality serves to avoid errors and deficiencies, to ensure the satisfaction of the customer and finally the trust in structures with membrane materials. This does not only serve the respective company, but also the sustained growth and well-being of the membrane construction market.
This is a major goal of TENSINET formulated in the Memorandum of Understanding.
