Textile Roofs 2004
Co-Host TensiNet
Sponsored by Ferrari and technet GmbH

Textile Roofs 2008
The main objectives of this workshop are to provide fundamental information, as well as presenting the state-of-the-art in textile roof engineering. Above all, the workshop aims to provide practical answers to real-world questions. In addition to a comprehensive programme of lectures presented in English by key figures from the membrane structure industry and academia, opportunity for the study and hands-on development of practical case-studies in an informal tutorial environment will be provided.

IASS Symposium 2007
In fact new architectural design trends, giving prevalence to aesthetic over the static rationality, will land to a future of generalized “free-form-buildings” (FFB) in contrast with the scientific philosophy inherited from Torroja, Maillart, Nervi and others, who designed quite sure that the observing static laws is “per se” a guarantee for achieved aesthetic results.
In the frame of the actual inter-trans and multidisciplinary design process between architecture and structural engineering, 2007 Venetian Symposium invites professionals, researchers and academics to update the “State of the Art” concerning the classic scientific and technical themes of the IASS.

TensiNet-Symposium 2003
Designing Tensile Architecture
19 and 20 September 2003 in Brussels, Belgium
OBJECTIVE
Nowadays building with flexible, lightweight materials such as coated membranes and cables has become a new form of construction with its very own principles and characteristics. To many people involved in the building industry, the use of pretensioned textiles is a new and unknown concept. Therefore, during the symposium, this rather new type of construction will be looked at in all its aspects. From material characteristics to statical analysis, from concept to execution, international speakers will give an overview of the intriguing way of building and its wide range of application.
The reference data available in the database on the website www.tensinet.com as well as the Design Guide will be presented.
TARGET GROUP
The aim of the symposium is to increase the interest in and appreciation for membrane and lightweight structures. Architects, engineers and constructors as well as professors and students interested or involved in the design and manufacture of non-conventional structures are invited to learn more about existing lightweight constructions, ongoing projects and future applications.

TECHTEXTIL STUDENT COMPETITION 2015
Techtextil student competition 2015
The 13th student competition “Textile Structures for New Building 2015” took place this year. The event, which is held every two years, was organised within the framework of Techtextil 2015 by the trade fair and sponsored by the international association TensiNet. This competition, which has become established and popular in professional circles, received many entries both from countries inside and also outside the EU.
